We have an job opening for Field Engineer with experience in
Deskside support/Printers with our client and the details are as below:
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months Extendable
Work Locations: Cambridge, UK
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to measured response targets.
- Provide physical hands and feet support for end user desk moves, printer physical moves, DC racking, Server checks, Tape rotation etc.
- Proven desk side support experience
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Proven knowledge in supporting Microsoft Office
- Proven experience as a hardware engineer in Desktop, Laptop and printer maintenance/repair
- Working knowledge of server hardware
- Working knowledge of backup systems
- Organised, able to manage time and prioritise tasks
- Excellent administration skills
- Flexible on working hours & overtime
- Willing to travel and drive a luton style van when required
- Will be required to move and lift large MFPs therefore a good level of fitness will be required
- Valid UK Driving Licence
JD:
- We are looking for a field engineer with experience in deskside support & printer engineering skills as well.
- The desk side skills required are of a level 1 or 2 capacity.
- The role will involve working on tickets on-site covering issues on windows 10 or windows 7, Office 365, Printer setups/repair, video conference room set ups and repair.
- It is pretty standard for an experienced desk side engineer. We also need candidates with good experience in intrusive printer repair.
- Any candidate with printer experience such as fixing paper jam, replacing consumables and setting up on a local network are unlikely to be considered.
- It should be stressed that replacing parts both mechanical and electrical down to board and spring level will be required.
